My fiance and I are getting married in August. I called and spoke with a lady from the Vinton War Memorial and told her what we were wanting, a dessert reception. She first told me that they would have to make sure it was presented nicely and we weren't "going to just throw a box of doughnuts out on the table". Really? Really, that's what you think we would do? First strike. THEN she told me that this day was not just for me, but for my guests as well. Strike two. Finally she told me that this was a special day for our guests and they should be treated right because she saw each one of MY guests as a potential client. Third strike. This lady was very rude and condescending. Needless to say, we will not be going with this venue for our wedding reception.
